KiprosTV is a video based website that aims to offer support for the arts and culture of Cyprus. Its videos showcase local artists, musicians, theater groups and non-profit organizations that are active in the community as well as related subjects.
As Michael Kalopedis founder of KiprosTV notes “through the use of video and online technologies, KiprosTV aims to document, showcase and support such efforts in our local community, as well as to make them known on an international level.” From a ’social entrepreneurship’ approach we have recognized a social problem (lack of coverage, promotion for the Arts, social discussion, etc) and we use entrepreneurial principles to create social change.

This is a fantastic website. It is Cultural Tv on demand. It has made me aware of all the great effort that is being done from different artists all over Cyprus, and that I knew nothing about.
I found myself watching all the videos, and getting empowered for my own art (Web Development and Music).
I don’t have a TV, I much prefer Internet TV because I have control over what I see. This is a fine example of an effort to augment the culture in Cyprus.
